Privacy policy

1 Information we collect

• Game Data: your progress, statistics, achievements, save slots, and in-game preferences, stored locally on your device. Limited gameplay events may also be sent for consent-gated analytics.
• Device Information: device type, OS version, app version, and device identifiers.
• Usage Data: how you interact with the app, features used, session duration, and gameplay patterns.
• Purchase Data: transaction information, purchase history, app-user identifiers and entitlement status, processed by Apple and RevenueCat to verify and deliver purchases.
• Tracking Data (optional): with your explicit permission via App Tracking Transparency, we may collect data for personalized advertising.

2 How we use your information

• App functionality: save your progress locally, provide game features, and process purchases securely.
• User experience: improve performance, fix bugs, and enhance gameplay.
• Advertising: provide ads through Google AdMob. Denying ATT tracking permission does not remove all ads; the app requests non-personalized ads when tracking is not allowed.
• Customer support: respond to your questions, feedback, and technical issues.
• Legal compliance: comply with applicable laws and protect our legal rights.

3 Third-party services

• Apple App Store: secure in-app purchase processing and app distribution.
• Expo: app development, deployment, and over-the-air updates.
• RevenueCat: purchase verification, purchase history, entitlement management and restore support.
• Google AdMob: ad delivery and measurement, with non-personalized ad requests when tracking is not allowed.
• Firebase Analytics: device, session, gameplay and purchase-funnel measurement when the app enables analytics collection after consent.

Game saves are stored locally using AsyncStorage. This does not mean all app data stays on the device: enabled purchase, update, advertising and analytics services communicate with their providers. Cloud backup is a separate optional feature where available. See RevenueCat privacy information, Google privacy information and Expo privacy information.

4 Data storage & transmission

• Local storage: your playable save state is stored on your device.
• Cloud backup: full-save backup is separate from service data and only available when the feature is enabled.
• In-app purchases: Apple and RevenueCat process purchase records and entitlement information. The app keeps local fulfillment records to prevent duplicate grants.
• Data deletion: deleting the app removes its local saves. It does not automatically erase provider records or cancel an Apple subscription.

5 Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share limited data with:

• Apple Inc.: in-app purchase processing and app distribution.
• RevenueCat: purchase and entitlement verification, including restore support.
• Expo: deployment and over-the-air update delivery.
• Google AdMob and Firebase: ad delivery and consent-gated measurement as described above.
• Legal authorities: only when required by law or to protect legal rights.

6 App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

• We request your permission before tracking your activity across other apps and websites.
• You can grant or deny tracking when the iOS permission prompt appears.
• Denying tracking does not affect core app functionality.
• Change your preference anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking.
• The app uses the tracking choice to request non-personalized ads and disable Firebase analytics collection when tracking is not allowed.
• Usage analytics requires a separate optional choice in app Settings and is off by default. Granting tracking permission alone does not enable it. This usage-analytics choice does not grant advertising permission.

7 Data security

• Save integrity: the app checks save integrity to detect damaged data. Integrity checks are not encryption of local save contents.
• Transmission: configured service endpoints use HTTPS.
• Local security: game data relies on iOS device security features.
• No passwords: the app requires no account or password storage.
• Purchase security: all transactions go through Apple's secure payment system.

8 Data retention

• Game data: stored locally until you delete the app or your save files.
• Purchase records: Apple and RevenueCat retain records according to their policies and applicable requirements.
• Support: if you send a diagnostic report or screenshot, we use the information you provide to investigate your request.
• Analytics: consent-gated data is processed by Firebase. Contact us for requests concerning data linked to your app installation.

9 Your rights

• Access: view game statistics and progress in the app; contact us about personal data held outside the app.
• Correct: change your character name and preferences in Settings.
• Delete: remove local saves using in-app save-slot deletion. Contact us about other personal data. Some provider records may need to be retained.
• Opt out of tracking: deny or revoke tracking permission in iOS Settings.
• Opt out of ads: purchase "Remove Ads" when available.
• Portability: export your game data (cloud save feature, when enabled).

10 Children's privacy (COPPA)

• Check the current App Store age rating for your region. The app is not intended for children under 13.
• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
• If you believe we have, contact us immediately at DeepLifeSimulator@gmail.com.
• Parents can use iOS parental controls to restrict usage and in-app purchases.

11 In-app purchases

• All purchases are processed securely through Apple's In-App Purchase system.
• We do not store your payment information — we only receive transaction receipts (no card data).
• Eligible permanent purchases and active subscriptions can be restored with the same store account. Consumable balances are not automatically replayed after reinstall. If a purchase is pending, keep the original save and contact support before buying again.
• Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy.

12 Changes to this policy

• We may update this policy from time to time.
• We'll notify you of significant changes by updating the app and posting the new policy.
• The "Last updated" date above indicates the most recent revision.
• Where a change requires a new privacy choice, that choice will be requested separately.

13 International users

• The app is available worldwide through the Apple App Store.
• Our service providers may process data in countries outside your own, as described in their privacy information.
• Contact us to exercise applicable privacy rights or ask about the handling of your data.
