Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Silicon: Tech Tycoon is built privacy-first. There is no account, no tracking and no advertising. Your game stays on your device; the only thing we handle is your purchase, so it can be restored.

The short version

Your game never leaves your device. There is no account, no login, no analytics, no tracking, and no ads. The one exception is buying things: if you subscribe to Silicon Pro or buy a one-time unlock, that purchase is validated by our payments processor so you can restore it later. Nothing else is collected.

What data do we collect?

Only what an in-app purchase requires: a record of what you bought (purchase history) and an anonymous identifier that RevenueCat generates for your installation so the purchase can be validated and restored.

We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photos, browsing activity, or any usage or gameplay data. We do not collect crash reports. The anonymous identifier is created by the app; it is not your Apple ID, your advertising identifier, or anything that identifies you as a person. None of it is used for tracking, none of it is sold, and none of it is combined with data from other apps or companies.

If you never make a purchase, nothing at all is collected.

Where is my game data stored?

Your save game is stored exclusively in your device's local storage (localStorage on web; via Capacitor on iOS). It never leaves your device and is not synced to any cloud service.

Uninstalling the app or clearing your browser's site data will erase the save. Use the Export save option in Settings to create a backup.

Third-party SDKs and services

There are no analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, no crash reporters and no social-login libraries. The third-party code in the app is:

  • Capacitor — native iOS packaging. Sends nothing.
  • Apple's StoreKit — takes the payment. Apple holds the purchase record under Apple's own policy.
  • RevenueCat — validates purchases and makes them restorable across reinstalls. It receives your purchase history and the anonymous installation identifier described above, and acts as our data processor. Nothing about how you play is sent to it.
  • Our own purchase-verification endpoint — used only for the small legacy population who bought the app outright before it went free-to-download. It relays your device's signed purchase receipt to Apple's App Store Server API to confirm that purchase was never refunded, and returns a yes/no answer. It does not store anything, has no database, and receives nothing else.

In-app purchases

The app is free to download. Silicon Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly, with a free trial) or as a one-time lifetime purchase. A legacy one-time Creative Mode unlock is still honoured for everyone who bought it.

We never see your payment details. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit; card numbers and billing information never reach us or our processor. What we do receive is the fact of the purchase — which product, and whether it is still active — so the app knows what to unlock and can restore it if you reinstall or switch devices. Purchase records are also held by Apple under their Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; you can manage or cancel one at any time in your Apple ID subscription settings.

Children's privacy

Silicon is rated 4+ and is not directed at children specifically, but it is safe for them: there is no tracking, no advertising, no profiling, and no way for anyone to contact anyone else through the app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and the purchase data described above contains none.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. This page was last changed when Silicon Pro purchases moved to RevenueCat for validation — the entry above headed What data do we collect? is the part that changed.
