Terms of Use

The short version

Silicon: Tech Tycoon is free to download and free to play. There are no ads, no timers, no energy meters, no premium currency and no loot boxes. Silicon Pro is an optional purchase that unlocks additional game content. You can play indefinitely without ever buying anything, and cancel a subscription at any time.

Licence

Subject to these terms, you are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Silicon: Tech Tycoon on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.

The app is licensed, not sold. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute it, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

Silicon Pro — subscription terms

Silicon Pro unlocks additional content in the game, including the Platform and AI eras, all scenarios, New Game+ and Ascension, the Platform Division, Creative Mode, the Vault, the Device Museum, Category Mastery and the Founder Legend record. Silicon Pro is offered on the following plans:

• Pro Yearly — 12 months of access, billed yearly, renews automatically.
• Pro Monthly — 1 month of access, billed monthly, renews automatically.
• Pro Lifetime — a one-time purchase. It does not renew and is not a subscription.

The exact price of each plan, in your local currency, is shown on the purchase screen inside the app before you confirm anything. Prices may vary by region and may change; any change applies only to future billing periods and is disclosed before you confirm.

Billing and auto-renewal

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you selected.

Free trial

The recurring plans may include an introductory free trial for eligible Apple IDs. Eligibility is determined by Apple, once per subscription group. If a trial applies, it is stated on the purchase screen before you confirm. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription begins billing automatically at the stated price. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Managing and cancelling

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device, or from the Manage subscription button in the app's Settings screen. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store Terms of Service. We cannot issue refunds directly. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Restoring purchases

If you reinstall the app or move to a new device, use Restore Purchases on the purchase screen or in Settings to recover an active subscription or a Lifetime purchase tied to your Apple ID.

If you bought Silicon before it became free

Silicon: Tech Tycoon was previously a paid download. Everyone who purchased it then keeps full access permanently, at no further cost. The app recognises the original purchase automatically on first launch and grants Founding Owner status — which includes everything in Silicon Pro, forever. If it does not appear, tap Restore Purchases in Settings, or get in touch and it will be sorted out.

The same applies to the separate Creative Mode unlock sold during that period: it remains yours and is never re-sold to you.

Your game data

Your save lives only on your device. There is no account and no server. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail. Use Export save in Settings before switching devices or clearing storage — a lost device means a lost save, and we have no copy to restore.

An active Silicon Pro entitlement is tied to your Apple ID rather than to a save file, so it survives reinstalling the app and starting a new company.

Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to circumvent purchase verification, tamper with the app's stored data to obtain content you have not purchased, or distribute modified builds. Doing so may cause the app to behave unpredictably and is a breach of these terms.

Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. It is a game: nothing in it is financial, business or investment advice, and every company, product, component and brand in it is fictional. Any resemblance to a real company or product is coincidental.

To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the app and its in-app purchases in the twelve months preceding a claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including your statutory consumer rights.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the app changes. The current version always lives at this address, with the date at the top. Material changes affecting an active subscription are disclosed in the app before they take effect.

Apple's standard licence

Where these terms are silent, Apple's standard End User Licence Agreement applies: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and is not a party to this agreement other than as a third-party beneficiary entitled to enforce it.
